Ecrothan - Polyurethane Emulsions

Ecrothan are waterborne polyurethane emulsions for different substrates like wood, plastics or metal.

They are, by appropriate selection of raw materials with special morphology, premium polymer dispersions giving a high profile of properties to the system. They are mainly physical drying and self-crosslinking. Crosslinking after the physical drying is possible by the formation of hydrogen bonds between the polymer chains.

This physicochemical characteristics are responsible for the excellent properties like high chemical resistance and elasticity. The emulsions show very good mechanical stability and at the same time good compatibility with other polymer emulsions, like pure acrylics e.g. Ecrylic RA 646 H. Polyisocyanates can be used for chemical crosslinking.

The elasticity and very fine particle size of these polymer emulsions allow the use on substrates like: cork, leather and textiles, whereas the Ecrothan emulsions have been specially tested for the use on wood and plastics.
