Defoamers
Product Overview
We offer a wide selection of defoamers for many different aqueous and non-aqueous applications. These are manufactured by Münzing Chemie under the AGITAN® brand name.
Both aqueous emulsions of surface active materials and 100% active content systems are available. Chemistries vary but are broadly split between siloxane/ silicone-based and hydrocarbon/ alkoxylated-based. Grades with and without hydrophobic silica can be selected.
These defoamers are formulated to break down air stabilised in the liquid by surfactant materials which can lead to common problems such as surface defects in paints and coatings. Since foam formation can occur in many stages we can recommend Agitan and Deefo products to solve or prevent issues in production, transit and application.
Most grades have a non-ionic character and so are highly compatible with most common binder systems and additives. All products are highly efficient and have excellent persistence in their designed application area. There are some grades with indirect food contact approval, low odour and low taste. Biodegradable products and eco-based products are also an option.
If you have a foam problem then get in touch with us now or submit a sample request. Münzing Chemie and Lawrence Industries have many years of expertise in this field.
