CERETAN
Micronized and Non-Micronized Waxes
The CERETAN range of micronized and non-micronized waxes offer the formulator a multitude of choices for improving the surface properties of many coating types and polymer based products. Properties which can be enhanced include scratch resistance, slip, abrasion resistance, scrub resistance, matting effect, gloss retention and rheology control. There are some additional industry specific properties that can be imbued as well.
Wax types such as EBS, carnauba, PTFE, polyethylene (also oxidized), polypropylene, montan, Fischer-Tropsch (also oxidized), EVA and functional blends are available.
Sizes for the spherically micronized range vary from 2 microns to 50 microns d50 and 8 to 80 microns d99. Non-micronized grades are generally much larger than this of course. The micronized waxes have a guaranteed D99 value, which reduces the possibility of negative results from oversized particles.
Various drop points and viscosities are attainable. Munzing have a great degree of control over the spray micronization process and as a result have a vast array of products that can be produced.
Speciality coated grades are also available which have been surface treated with a range of organic and inorganic materials to further improve properties and afford a more efficient performance.
