Product Overview
Salicylic acid is widely considered to be one of the best ingredients to fight problematic skin conditions. Its keratolytic ability allows it to penetrate deeply into the skin where its antibacterial effect then combats the bacteria responsible for the formation of acne.
Traditional salicylic acid presents several formulating issues: low solubility in water, recrystallization and potential skin irritation. The addition of a skin-friendly polymer helps to minimize irritation potential while niacinamide and caffeine both contribute to the efficacy profile of this novel ingredient, giving it anti-ageing qualities.
High loading of salicylic acid in the complex (~49%) allows for the formulation of active products for the treatment of problematic skin.
