Mica (Muscovite)

The inside of a car bonnet

Product Overview

TREMICA® muscovite mica (phlogopite also available under TREFIL® 1232 brand name) is a high aspect ratio, platy, particle suitable for use in high temperature plastics and coatings due to its low distortion and crack prevention properties. Mica is also frequently used in anti-corrosion coatings, where it forms an effective barrier through increasing salt and water percolation distance.
