Wollastonite
Product Overview
TREMIN® wollastonite is a naturally occurring calcium silicate that is formed from quartz and calcium carbonate at a temperature of about 450°C. There are two aspect ratio grades manufactured which are used in different situations. Blocky particles with a low aspect ratio are marketed under the TREMIN® 283 product range whilst the higher aspect ratio grades are sold under the TREMIN® 939 range.
Due to the overlapping particles, they are often used for crack bridging and mechanical reinforcement of polymer systems as well as in coatings.
