Product Overview
TYTAN™ S range are titanium chelates used in the catalysis of neutral-cure RTV silicone sealants. They work by hydrolysing the methoxy groups which terminate oxime and alkoxy curing agents. Due to their moisture sensitivity they effectively scavenge trace moisture in the cartridge, giving the product an extended shelf life.
Sealants utilising TYTAN™ S catalysts have a rapid cure profile and excellent adhesion to many substrates. Extensive silanol cross-linking reduces deformation by increasing the elastic modulus. Organotitanates also have very favourable CLP labelling/no toxicity.
