Company Overview

Rotec GmbH &Co KG is a leading German supplier of a natural, lightweight mineral granulate marketed under the brand names Rotobase, Rotocell and Rotocell Plus.  The raw material for these unique products is found in the Eifel mountains on the border with Belgium around 80km from the city of Cologne.

Rotec uses the naturally expanded, volcanic silicate found in this region for the production of Rotocell.  The base rock undergoes a sophisticated beneficiation process involving grinding, sieving and surface treatment.  There are many applications for Rotec’s products ranging from the use of Rotocell Plus in lightweight renders to the use of Rotobase as a specialist polishing aid.
