Company Overview

Nouryon Functional Chemicals GmbH is the leading manufacturer of liquid polysulfide polymers, known to the market as Thioplast™ G. These are the backbone to the high-performance epoxy-terminated polysulfide polymers that are marketed under the Thioplast™ EPS range. Customers use these resins for imparting outstanding flexibility combined with toughness, both on their own and in combination with conventional epoxy resins. When used in such systems they increase flexibility, adhesion, ageing, weathering and chemical resistance. As such, they find applications in a variety of high-performance coatings, sealants and adhesives.

Existing customers may be familiar with these products as coming from AkzoNobel Speciality Chemicals. This division was acquired by the Carlyle Group and renamed as Nouryon.
