Calcined Alumina for Polishing Applications
Product Overview
Alteo has developed a broad range of high-performance calcined alumina to cover all polishing needs.
The different levels of hardness and primary crystal size of their alumina agglomerates is achieved by their controlled calcination and grinding process, leading to tight specifications for a consistent cut and polish.
Soft agglomerates
A4G range covers ultra fine, high alpha content (85-90%) alumina to achieve a high gloss finish on softer surfaces such as coatings.
AR12 range covers fine, low calcined alumina with a broad range of particle sizes to achieve a polishing effect on surfaces ranging from as soft as an automotive coating to as hard as stainless steel and chrome.
Medium agglomerates
AC12 range covers calcined alumina with a very high alpha content (>99%) and are used for polishing and finishing when both treatments are required, these grades find applications in steel & stainless steel, chrome and aluminium cut and polish products.
Hard agglomerates
AC3 range covers calcined alumina with a very high alpha content (>97%) and are mainly used in pre-polishing where a high stock removal ability is required such as in steel & stainless steel and chrome applications.
