Argan Oil

Product Overview

Growing exclusively in the southwest of Morocco, the Argan tree has long been revered for its rare production and the properties of the oil that can be extracted from it. From fruit bearing age of around 5, the tree can produce on average 10 kgs of fruit each year and can live as long as 200 years while also protecting the land against soil erosion.

The Berber women in Morocco have passed down and perfected the age-old tradition of extracting the oil from the nut within the fruit for its beneficial properties. Now being shared with the rest of the world, the oil has found application in cosmetics for use on the skin, body and hair due to its soothing, softening and hydrating properties.
