Galaxy® is a range of holographic effect pigments from Geotech that creates glittering, polychromatic reflections in coatings and paints. Its highly reflective particles bring a distinctive visual effect to coloured finishes, making the range particularly suited to decorative spray and powder coatings.
Galaxy® Hologram Silver offers an alternative to polyester-based holographic glitter. At approximately 3 microns thick, its particles can be incorporated into thin coating layers without losing their striking optical effect. This grade is suitable for solvent-based formulations and water-based formulations at pH 7 or below. It is also UV-stable, while the Galaxy® range is temperature-resistant up to 400°C.
With three particle-size grades available, formulators can choose an effect that ranges from finer sparkle to more pronounced scattering. Galaxy® pigments disperse without grinding, helping to preserve the particles and the holographic finish they create.
