Organotitanates - General and Organic Synthesis Catalysis

Glass beaker with green liquid, on top of chemical symbols

Product Overview

TYTAN™ organotitanate and organozirconate grades are used to catalyse esterification and transesterification reactions. This includes the synthesis of ester based monomers, such as acrylates and methacrylates. Polyester polyol resins and plasticizers are also synthesized using organotitanate catalysts.

TYTAN™ products are well known catalysts in the production of polyesters and polyolefins as well. Products that fall into the catalysis category often find applications in other areas such as adhesion promotion and protective coatings for example.

Additives for Recycled Thermoplastics

Thermoplastics are fantastic engineering materials. They are low cost, lightweight, easy to process and provide excellent durability. It’s no surprise therefore that thermoplastics are omnipresent in our lives, with the average European citizen consuming on average 50 kg per year. High time then to scrutinise thermoplastics from a sustainability standpoint.
