Inside the Mix – Understanding additives in 3D printed concrete
3D printed concrete offers the potential for quick sustainable construction
ECS is arguably the biggest event in the coatings industry calendar. With many large chemical manufacturers exhibiting and showcasing new projects, ideas and technologies, it is a great event to see what is new in the industry.
Our Coatings Team will be attending to meet with customers and partners and keep up with the latest innovations. If you would like to book a meeting with your account manager, please contact your account manager or drop us an E-Mail to arrange.
Lawrence Industries are now part of the Brenntag Family. As a member of the Brenntag Group, we have gained international reach and a wealth of commercial and regulatory knowledge as well as access to state of the art coatings laboratories. If you would like to come and see us or Brenntag, check out the below stand.

Many of our partners will be exhibiting, and below you can find a bit about each and where to find them.

3M are a multinational company with manufacturing across the globe. Their Advanced Materials division focuses on developing and innovating their market leading products. 3M’s Glass Bubbles are hollow glass microspheres allowing for low densities and high strength. Their main benefits in Coatings make them very popular in Anti-Condensation and Solar Reflective Paints.
ASCOTEC are based in France and focus on Anti-Corrosion Additives for long-term multi-metal performance in coatings formulations. Their market leading ASCOTRAN® range offers excellent anti-flash rust and anti-corrosion while the ASCONIUM® range includes organic liquid additives. They are available for solvent- and water-borne coatings for direct-to-metal, protective, high-gloss and architectural coatings.
ASK Chemicals GmbH is a leading global producer of innovative binders including industrial resins and high-performance alkyd emulsions. The NECOWEL range includes emulsions suitable for architectural, wood and industrial coatings.
A fourth generation family-owned business that manufacturers metal pigments and products. Their range includes gold, silver, bronze, copper, aluminium, and zinc powders to enhance product appearance.
With over 25 years of experience, Borica has the world’s largest titanate and zirconate plant in the world. Their organotitanate and organozirconate speciality chemicals under the Tytan™ brand name, serve as chemical catalysts, sealant additives, adhesion promoters and cross-linkers, rheology modifiers or coupling and dispersing agents.
With two manufacturing plants and an R&D centre, Chitec Technology creates innovative photoinitiators, UV absorbers and antioxidants. Their Chiguard® range of UV absorbers (UVA) and hindered amine light stabilisers (HALS) can be used to prevent visual and mechanical degradation. Their Chivacure® range of photoinitiators for promotes fast curing in coatings and ink applications.
Evonik are one of the most recognisable names in speciality chemicals and has a diverse portfolio of silicas and metal oxides for coatings applications. AEROSIL® Fumed Silica is available in hydrophobic and hydrophilic grades for rheology modification, antisettling and reinforcement. The ACEMATT® range offers homogeneous matting with high-quality surface finish. The new SPHERILEX® spherical silicas have a very narrow particle size distribution to provide abrasion and burnish resistance.
Geotech are specialists in effect pigments that are used to create a range of visual effects regardless of the substrate. They stay up to date with the latest trends and regulations and have created PET-free pigments which alongside their traditional ranges can be used to create glittering, pearlescent, holographic and iridescent effects.
As an innovative producer of silicone chemicals, Graf Chemicals are constantly developing novel additives to improve water and stain repellency. Their Silsan products are available as resin binders, hydrophobic creams and powders to allow a wide range of usage in aqueous and non-aqueous formulations.
HPF Quarzwerke have been extracting, processing and refining minerals for over 135 years and produce a range of speciality surface treated fillers to enhance product performance. This can include improved corrosion resistance, scratch resistance, weather resistance, electrical insulation and decorative properties.
