Lawrence Industries at Surfex 2024

Lawrence Industries at Surfex 2024

For the first time in 16 years, Lawrence Industries will be exhibiting at Surfex

Co-organised by the Oil and Colour Chemists Association (OCCA), Surfex is the UK's only event dedicated to Surface, Paint & Coatings Technology. Not only will the UK's biggest manufacturers, suppliers and distributors for this industry be there showing off their newest products and technologies, but there is also a full scientific programme covering topics such as sustainability, performance, packaging, regulation and industry trends.

Lawrence Industries' technical coatings team will be exhibiting on Stand 528 in collaboration with our partner 3M. Joining us from 3M, Darren Hall will be providing his expertise on the many benefits and uses of their Glass Bubbles.

We will also be joined by the technical experts from some of our other partners: Johan Oudesluys will be representing the Munzing Chemie range of defoamers, wetting agents and waxes; Marco Kaspers joins us from Quarzwerke HPF to discuss their portfolio of functional and speciality fillers and Jeremy Green from Borica will be completing the 2024 Surfex team to promote the TYTAN range of organo-titanates and zirconates.

We will have plenty worth visiting, including information on our sustainably sourced products and eco-friendly alternatives, technical demonstrations of some of our top products, giveaways and a competition to win a bubbly prize...

If you would like to check out our full portfolio ahead of the day on our coatings page or contact us to get more details.

These smart materials have found their way into various applications, from functional safety indicators to eye-catching promotional products. For example, reversible thermochromic pigments are used in novelty mugs that reveal hidden designs when filled with hot beverages, packaging that signals when food or drink is at the optimal temperature for consumption, security labels for brand protection and anti-counterfeiting, and temperature-sensitive warning indicators on surfaces or medical devices.
